As a longtime gamer and a huge Minecraft enthusiast, I’ve been looking forward to the Minecraft movie for quite some time. However, I’ve noticed that the CGI has generated quite a bit of criticism. It’s interesting, especially considering the game has such a unique and appealing aesthetic. So, what’s going wrong with the movie’s CGI?
One possible issue could be the challenge of translating the game’s blocky, pixelated visuals into a cinematic format. In the game, the simplicity of the graphics works beautifully, but in the film, it seems like they struggled to maintain that charm. The CGI often appears too polished and somewhat lifeless, making me wonder if they focused too much on creating stunning visuals instead of capturing the essence of Minecraft.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Do you think the CGI could have been approached differently? Or do you believe the style they chose appeals to a wider audience? What were your expectations for the CGI, and did it live up to them?
